Northern Exposure--A Week In Alaska

I flew to Alaska on June 13th to be with my brother on his 60th birthday--June 16th. We spent that weekend at their cabin 60 miles from Anchorage. I was gifted with a week of sun, 20 hours of daylight andd warm temperatures.

Their cabin is located on a glacial lake.  I spent two days clearing brush and marveling at twilight that lingered all night long.
Happy Birthday, Joe

                                                            Scenery was just amazing

Ho Ho Ho
Amazing scenery as we head back to Anchorage

We visited Alyeska---the biggest ski center in Alaska.  They'd had 940" of snow during the prvevious winter--100" at the end of May!

My brother, Joe, and I on the summit.

Turnagain Arm in the distance.  Alyeska gets high marks for views!
